The Ubiquiti UniFi Pro Switch 48 POE Gen 2 (USW-Pro-48-POE) is a managed Gigabit Layer 2 and Layer 3 switch with 48x Gigabit Ethernet ports with automatic PoE detection, including 40x 802.3at PoE+ ports, 8x 802.3bt PoE++ ports and four SFP+ ports. It provides Gigabit PoE links to RJ45 Ethernet devices and 10 Gbps fibre uplinks to the corporate network.
The USW-Pro-48-POE features a 1.3-inch touchscreen LCM that provides connection status information and is used for easy monitoring and quick troubleshooting. With its compact size, fanless design and included mounting brackets, the unit can be easily installed in a SOHO rack.
The UniFi Pro Switch 48 PoE is managed and configured by the UniFi Network Controller with support for UniFi mobile apps. The UniFi Network Controller can share UniFi devices, map networks and quickly manage system traffic from anywhere. The USW-Pro-48-POE is equipped with a set of advanced Layer 2 switching protocols and functions, including mode of operation (switching, mirroring or aggregation) per port.
In addition to switching protocols and Layer 2 features, the UniFi Pro PoE Switch offers Layer 3 features (available in a future software release) such as inter-VLAN routing, static routing and DHCP server functionality.
UniFi is rapidly evolving to a full SDN (Software-Defined Networking) solution with seamless integration of high-performance switching.
UniFi Pro PoE switches support an external DC input interface, the USP RPS interface, as an additional power function for backup in case of internal power supply failure.
