MikroTik mUPS is an outboard-capable Gigabit PoE injector with buffer power supply.

The device is equipped with two gigabit Ethernet ports and a DC socket. Power is supplied via PoE (passive) or DC plug in the voltage range 12 - 28 V DC. mUPS enables the supply of devices with 24 V voltage and, thanks to the solution used and the connection of an external battery, provides emergency power in the event of the lack of main voltage - buffer power supply.

The LEDs on the device cover indicate:

- power supply method (main, linear)

- charging the battery

- battery charge (less than 50%)

 From the level of the RouterOS system it is possible to detect mUPS work on the emergency power supply, which greatly facilitates the detection of problems in the network. Thanks to the scripts, you can monitor the input voltage of the mUPS-powered device, which values ​​will change when switching to emergency power supply.

The battery charging current as well as the output current offered by the mUPS is 1 A.

Thanks to mUPS, it is possible to power the connected device for several hours in emergency mode.
