MikroTik RouterBoard wAP LR8 kit and R11e-LR8 card are a LoRaWAN gateway solution for ISM 863-870 MHz nadwith with full RoS support. The set includes wAP R device with 2.4 GHz WLAN interface , a SIM card slot and Ethernet port, which can be used as a backup connection and pre-installed software to send UDP packets to any public (TheThingsNetwork, Loriot.io, etc.) or private LoRa servers.
The wAP LR8 kit has an internal antenna with 2 dBi gain. Using SMA connector, it is also possible to connect an external antenna with 6.5 dBi gain.
The R11e-LR8 supports 8 different channels in the 863-870 MHz band (EU863-870, RU864-870, IN865-867), has Listen Before Talk (LBT) function and spectral scanning.
The device has been enclosed in a compact wAP enclosure suitable for indoor use and, thanks to its waterproofness, also for outdoor use. The device has a 10/100 Ethernet port, miniSIM card slot, and can be powered by PoE, DC connector, or 4-pin automotive connector (cable included in set).
The wAP is waterproof and can be wall mounted. It is also possible to protect the bottom part of the casing against unauthorized opening. Ethernet cable can be lead through the hole in the wall, directly to the device, through the back panel of the case. This way the user avoids the need of an additional cable outside.
