MikroTik Cloud Core Router CCR2004-16G-2S+ is a powerful and affordable router in MikroTik's CCR series. It features the most powerful single-core performance to date - 1700 MHz.

The router features 16x Gigabit Ethernet ports, 2x 10G SFP+ slots, active cooling, two redundant power supplies, and has the best single core performance per watt and best overall performance per watt of any CCR device. It will be perfect for most Internet networks. Like all CCR units, it has a classic white 1U rackmountable enclosure suitable for 19" rack mounting rack (ears are included).

Like other models in the CCR2004 series, the CCR2004-16G-2S+ is also equipped with an Annapurna Labs Alpine v2 processor with 4x 64-bit ARMv8-A Cortex-A57 cores running at 1.7 GHz. What makes it stand out? This powerful router beats all previous CCR models in single-core performance, and this is the most important aspect when it comes to complex processing-per-connection operations. Each group of 8 Gigabit Ethernet ports is connected to a separate Marvell Amethyst family switch chip. Each switch chip has a full duplex 10 Gbps line connected to the processor. The same is true for each SFP+ slot, a separate 10 Gbps full duplex line. The boards come with 4 GB of DDR4 RAM and 128 MB of NAND. The CCR features RouterOS with a Level 6 license, and in terms of performance, the CCR2004-16G-2S+ is on par with the renowned CCR1009 and CCR1016 routers.

The CCR has two built-in AC power supplies (100 - 240 V) that can operate redundantly in fail-over mode - when one power supply fails, the other one starts up. The maximum power consumption is 48 watts, which is very good considering the performance of the router offered.

MikroTik Cloud Core Router CCR2004-16G-2S+ is one of the cheapest options on the market - not only in the CCR series, but in the market in general.
