The GFP-24C-2 fibre optic enclosure has four inputs for trunk cables, and 24 outputs for client cables. It has been designed for wall mounting with the possibility of installation on telecommunications poles. With a high IP65 rating and a durable and solid construction, it is perfect for overhead, underground and sewer installations. The unit has 6 hinged fibre optic trays with the possibility of laying up to 24 splices on each. The coupler is additionally equipped with space for the installation of 24 SC simplex or LC duplex fibre optic adapters. The polypropylene PP material on which the splice is based is characterised by very good chemical resistance, high electrical insulation and does not absorb humidity. In addition, it protects against low and high temperatures (-30 °C to +80 °C) and UV radiation. All inlets and outlets are sealed with rubber bushings and the two central entries for the main cables are bipartite. The maximum diameter per cable entry is 18 mm for the centre openings, and 21 mm for the outermost openings. The design of the enclosure allows free access to the inside for service, maintenance or installation of new components.
